“A bank is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather and ask for it back when it begins to rain.”
Robert Frost, poet
We’ve probably all come across this famous quote at some point. In the current economic climate and our own dismal weather are we at risk of getting very wet?
The second event in our owner managed business seminar series is entitled, Negotiating with your Bank. William Fitzpatrick, a Director in our Corporate Finance team, will reveal the current mindset of the banking community in terms of lending decisions and will offer some practical tips about negotiating effectively.
The key to obtaining bank finance in today's economic climate is in your approach. If you address the right points, in the right manner, and at the right time, you will maximise your chance of successfully raising finance. Get it wrong, in today’s climate of financial austerity, and things could become very unpleasant indeed.
