Ailsa Lodge, as it is known by residents and staff, sits unobtrusively in a quiet Bangor suburb. Once a gentleman's residence, the large house is complemented by spacious grounds, comprising sedate gardens and expansive parking areas for relatives, visitors and staff. Enclosed at the front by mature, formal hedges and trees, the house is a two-storey building enjoying panoramic views of the North Down and South Antrim coast with Scotland and Ailsa Craig in the distance - hence the name, "Ailsa Lodge".
