Royal Ulster Yacht Club and Ballyholme Yacht Club are jointly organising Bangor Week 2003. The origins of this race series can be traced back to 1977, although yachts from Dublin Bay, the Clyde and Belfast Lough had competed against one another for several decades prior to 1977.
This will be the seventh biennial event under the flag of Bangor week. In 2001 nearly 80 boats took part and enjoyed close racing, excellent weather supplemented by a great social programme.
